Technical Manager – Specifications Data Centre Division

Role Overview:

Lindab is launching an exciting new chapter in its growth journey with the creation of the Lindab Data Centre Division, headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. This new division will focus on one of the fastest growing sectors in the built environment: data centres and digital infrastructure.

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Technical Manager to drive growth within our Data Centre Division across Europe. This role focuses on developing relationships with Data Centre Constructors, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors as well as M&E Consulting engineers or prescribers, positioning Lindab as a preferred partner, and increasing market share in the rapidly expanding data centre sector.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical understanding with commercial acumen, enabling them to influence project specifications and secure sales opportunities from early design to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

· Business Development

1. Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within the data centre market
2. Actively pursue stakeholders involved in data centre design and construction.
3. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of projects across the region

 

· Specification Sales

1. Engage with consulting engineers to influence specification in favour of Lindab solutions
2. Provide technical guidance and support during design and tender stages
3. Position Lindab products and systems as preferred solution

 

· Customer Relationship Management

1. Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations and training sessions
2. Collaborate with Data Centre leadership team and product specialists to provide tailored solutions
3. Stay up to date with data centre trends, standards and technologies

 

· Market Intelligence

1. Monitor competitor activity and market developments
2. Provide feedback to internal stakeholders on customer needs and emerging opportunities

 

Qualifications and Experience

· Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related field

· Proven experience in technical specification writing within construction, HVAC or data centre projects

· Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure requirements including cooling, airflow management and energy efficiency

· Familiarity with industry standards and regulations relevant to building services and data centres

· Experience working with Mechanical & Electrical Consulting Engineers and design teams

· Knowledge of Lindab products (or similar HVAC/air distribution systems) is highly desirable.
