Role Overview

We’re looking for a motivated and technically skilled Fire & Smoke Specialist to join Lindab’s Fire Protection Division, headquartered in Dublin.

The successful candidate will support Thor Duct® licensees and partners across Ireland and the UK — providing hands-on technical assistance, delivering training, and promoting best practices in fire safety and smoke control engineering.

Play an active role in product testing, documentation, and R&D projects, collaborating with an expert international team passionate about advancing fire protection.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide technical support to Thor Duct® licensees in Ireland and the UK, ensuring correct implementation of certified systems.

· Deliver training sessions and presentations for licensees, engineers, designers, and contractors.

· Promote Thor Duct® systems and Lindab’s fire protection solutions to key industry stakeholders (specifiers, design studios, contractors).

· Conduct regular site and client visits to provide on-site technical guidance and build strong professional relationships.

· Collaborate with the R&D team on product testing and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Contribute to technical manuals, documentation, and marketing materials.

Requirements

· Degree in Fire Engineering or a related technical field.

· 3–5 years of experience in the fire protection or HVAC sector (engineering consultancy, contractor, or installation company).

· Detailed understanding of fire safety principles and European standards for fire resistance and smoke control systems (EN 12101-7, EN 1366-1/8/9, EN 13501-3/4, EN 1366-2/10).

· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical information.

· Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize complex technical and business situations.

· Familiarity with AI tools and a natural aptitude for smart, out-of-the-box thinking in solving technical or operational challenges.

· Strong organizational and reporting abilities, capable of managing multiple projects independently.

· Confident representing the company in client meetings, site visits, and technical discussions.

· Experience in international or cross-functional collaboration, with an ability to adapt communication style to different audiences.

· Skills in AutoCAD and Adobe InDesign are preferred.

· Self-driven, well-organized, and comfortable working remotely within an international environment.

· Based in Dublin or surrounding areas, with frequent travel across Ireland and the UK.

· Fluent in English (spoken and written).

· A proactive team player with a problem-solving attitude and a genuine interest in fire safety and innovation.

· Driven by curiosity, integrity, and a passion for making buildings safer.
